February 2, 2012 The Completion of The World's Greatest Baseball Stadium Model.
Steve Wolf (pictured above right) has a reputation for building the greatest Baseball Stadium Models in the World. His work has been featured in numerous publications, television shows, exhibits, and museums. His models are highly sought after by the biggest collectors in the hobby. When a repeat client wanted the new Yankee Stadium, Steve was thrilled and up for the challenge. Although he had built a few Yankee Stadium models in the past, including a 1961 version and a final-season 2008 replica, this would be Steve's first project involving a modern ball park. A modern stadium is a tremendous challenge: New high-def video monitors and scoreboards are in numerous locations and the stadium size and footprints are much larger since modern facilities now include more club seats, suites, restaurants, bars, and concourses. Even more challenging are new design and building technologies incorporated into modern stadiums to provide better views from every seat in the building. Steel beams can now be shaped and built that allow for larger overhangs and more seating levels. In the old days, Stadiums typically had two or three levels; while the New Yankee stadium has five levels and no exposed steel beams.
Pictures above: Steve Wolf's model is an amazing work-of-art from each and every angle. Steve Wolf's model is similar in size to the model found at the Yankee Stadium museum, located inside the ball park. While that model, built by the designers of the new ball park is amazing, it can't compare to Steve's version. The museum model lacks individual seats and has a very basic and limited lighting system. Steve's model has 860 LED lights and many more details found on the real stadium.
Pictured above: Flawless details makes the model so exceptional.

Pictured above: LED lighting inside the Scoreboards bring them to life. No detail was spared, including the retired number wall, Monument Park, the restaurant above Monument Park and the player-level outfield wall scoreboards.
Pictured above: Special attention was given to include the bunting, advertising displays, Yankee and World Series logos. The Yankees won their 27th World Series the first year the new Stadium Opened. The final game played in the 2009 season was the 6th and final game of the World Series, a 7-3 win over the Phillies. Steve's client wanted that game to be the theme of the model. No detail was spared. The red, white and blue bunting is all there, hanging from the various levels, as are the World Series logos and Yankee logo on the grass. The main scoreboard and smaller scoreboards show the actual images that were shown at the stadium moments after the game ended.
Pictured above: The Grand Concourse with illuminated displays and banners of Yankee Legends. When first-time visitors arrive at Yankee Stadium and enter the Grand Concourse, they are overwhelmed by it's beauty, size and tribute to the great Yankees of the past. Huge banners hang from the walls and when walking down one end of the hall you see pictures of modern day players. Walk the opposite direction and you see the old-time legends that played for the team. This model captures that amazing feeling you get when in the Grand Concourse. The model contains the same banners and viewers of Steve's model get that amazing feel of seeing old and new Yankee legends.
Pictured above: Dim the room's lights and you can light up the stadium with the installed 860 LED lights. The lighting system will light every part of the model, including the Luxury Suites, Broadcast Booths, and Team Store.
Pictured above: The model is built on a high table for optimal viewing and encased in museum quality glass. What's next for Steve Wolf? "I'll take a few days off and then get to work on a 1950's version of Ebbets Field, home of the Brooklyn Dodgers." If all goes as scheduled, the model will be consigned to the Robert Edward 2013 Auction.
