Charlie Sheen and Lenny Dykstra together? Sheen fronted $22,500 to bail the former major league baseball star out of jail.   Dykstra, 48, of Encino, was charged earlier this month with bankruptcy fraud and was held on $150,000 bail for nearly a week until Sheen put forward 15 percent of the payment.

MLB Authenticates Items From Harper's MLB Debut.   The lineup card, several baseballs and the locker nameplate used in Bryce Harper‘s first minor league game have all been authenticated and stashed away for upcoming auctions, according to an MLB employee who gave Beckett Media an exclusive peek at some of the items this week.

Hank Aaron Rookie Jersey sells for $167,300 at Heritage Auctions.   An agent in behalf of a collector bought the jersey, according to Chris Ivy, director of sports auctions at Heritage Auction Galleries in Dallas. The collector was not identified. Aaron wore No. 5 in 1954, which was his rookie year. The jersey was resewed the next year with his more familiar No. 44.

Ray Nitschke's son feels time right to auction some of father's memorabilia.   A live auction will be held in Dallas today for 16 items owned by the Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker, who died in 1998 after winning five NFL championships, including Super Bowls I and II, with the Packers from 1958 to 1972.

Where is the Puck?   The case of the missing puck is a story the NHL would like to go away. It's part "CSI," part "Slap Shot." It involves the FBI, a sergeant with the Chicago Police Department and the man who bought and blew up another famous piece of Chicago sports memorabilia. The stories are wacky. There's a policeman who swears the puck is at a pawn shop in Rockford, Ill., and an elderly lady who insists one of the Flyers has it -- all you have to do is watch the tape.

NETS Basketball Team to Auction Volvo Hood.   The NETS have teamed with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and Volvo to auction off a hood of a Volvo that has been graciously signed by over 50 current NBA players, including LeBron James, Deron Williams, Derrick Rose, Dwight Howard, and Blake Griffin, as well as Basketball Hall of Famers Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Clyde Drexler.

Couple arrested in baseball-card fraud, eBay resale.   They bought expensive cards for less money by switching price tags, then sold them on eBay, where they maintained a 99.9 percent positive-feedback rating, said Jack Massey, FDLE special-agent supervisor.

2005 Bowman Chrome Superfractor Tops List of Recent Troy Tulowitzki eBay Sales.   With all apologies to Hanley Ramirezs, Troy Tulowitzki is without a doubt the game's premier short stop. Tulowitzki ended the 2010 season on an absolute tear, hitting 15 in the month of September. 100 Year-Old 'Inflatable' Football Helmet Fetches $24k on eBay.   The unusual football helmet, which was a Spalding Inflatable Helmet, was patented in 1903. The antique helmet was stated by the seller as; "probably not used", due to; "no sweat staining to the interior".

Auction of Memorabilia from Phillies' Robin Roberts set for Tuesday.   The trophies, rings, bats, balls, uniforms, and plaques collected by the elder Roberts, who died last May at 83, will go on display Saturday at the ballpark in advance of Tuesday's auction. Big Ten Football: Ohio State's Gold Pants Get Sold on 'Pawn Stars'.   On the show, the seller said he bought the memorabilia from a private dealer. One pair of pants is from 2008, but had the initials "DW" carved into them, which appeared to cancel out Pryor or Thomas.

Puck that put The Great One past Howe goes for more than $50,000 at auction.   The six-ounce slab of rubber, squirrelled away for 22 years by a retired NHL timekeeper, was the puck Gretzky lifted past a sprawled goaltender at Edmonton's Northlands Coliseum on Oct. 15, 1989, to surpass hockey legend Gordie Howe's all-time scoring record of 1,850 points.
